The calm before the storm

It was my son’s 4th birthday on the weekend, and before the wonderful chaos of kids opening presents, blowing candles out and being rascals, came a quiet moment of contemplation on the couch. It’s definitely not indicative of the rest of the day, but it was a lovely moment. Happy Birthday Tem, lots of love, Dadda.
